There were three sprints in Paris-Nice so far. On the first day Gianni Meersman and Omega Pharma-Quick Step became third and in the second stage the team had some bad luck. In the stage of today Tom Boonen finished as fifth.
“The stages were not so hard so far. At the end there are a lot of nerves. Meersman was a victim of that yesterday. He fell with ten kilometers to go and he was not able to start any more today. Lars Boom fell also and he broke his elbow…”
Today it was nervous again. “Because everyone knew it was going to be a sprint. At Magny-Cours, where the Formule 1 took place in the past. John Degenkolb won and Boonen was fifth.” Tomorrow the final is a little bit more difficult.
