Nice first race in Canada

The first of two races in Canada is over. Zdenek rode a good race in the GP of Quebec but had to let go the peloton deep into the final. “Nevertheless, I feel that I was better than in the Brussels Cycling Classic last week. I’m glad.”

“It was a very nice race here in Quebec. There were 11 laps on a local circuit and the last 3 kilometers were hard. There were a lot of people on the side of the road and also with the weather we were lucky. The past few days it rained here, but today the sun was shining and it was 17 degrees. The organization here is indeed very good. Everything runs easy and smooth. I wish every race would be like this.”

Also about the result Zdenek was not dissatisfied. “I’m still very far from my condition I had during the Eneco Tour. But I don’t really believe in miracles, so I must be patient. I’ll do my best for the rest of the season. In any case, it was a lot better than in Brussels today.”
