“Since the Tour de Suisse it all has been a bit hectic. We did a recon of the cobble stage with the team and on Wednesday I rode Halle-Ingooigem. And a day after that Ine and I became the parents of our Lewis.”
“Ine remained in the hospital until Monday and then we could spend two days together at home. It was very emotional for me to leave. It has never been so difficult. I can’t just take two weeks of vacation.”
“It feels great to be the father of Lewis. I love him so much. He is so cute. I am also very proud of my wife Ine, because she did and does an excellent job, even when it’s not easy for her alone. I believe she will manage.”
