“The race was really nervous with the small roads, the narrow roads and some wind. I think we did a really good race with the team. Ok, the last 20 kilometer we could have done better, but there is nothing we can do about that anymore.”
“I did try to get in a breakaway on the gravel roads, and it worked, but the group didn’t work well together, so we were caught back by the peloton. It was a good try. In the final my teammate Niki Terpstra got in front and he finished fourth.”
