Zdenek won the Ardooie cross yesterday, giving him an impressive 5 wins out of 5 races this season.
Thursday's race in Ardooie remained a close one. There were no aggressive attacks from Styby during the first lap. A group of seven riders stayed wheel to wheel until 3 laps from the finish. Our World Champion had the company of Nys, Albert and Vantornout among others in the lead group.
Zdenek picked up the pace in the closing stages and only Nys and Vantournout were able to follow. Styby then went on the secure the victory in a sprint finish. Albert finished fourth and Rob Peeters was fifth.
