Fans yell Styby to third place

The second race for the World Cup is won by Niels Albert. Styby, who started very well, gave the race color and finished on the third place.

Our man took a strong start and rode in the lead for three laps. "I suddenly saw that there was a gap and I gave full gas", said Styby afterwards. "But I never believed for a second that I would hold it until the end."

Niels Albert and Sven Nys came back, and also Kevin Pauwels and Francis Mourey made the jump. Then came the explosion of Albert. "He is now simply the best", says Zdenek. "Maybe unbeatable."

Together with Nys and Pauwels Zdenek fought until the last meters for the second place. "But in the last corner I didn't have any more power. Pity that Nys passed me, but there was nothing in my legs. In a sprint Nys would have beaten me also."

Styby was eventually satisfied with the third place. "It's not bad, he? The audience here was also amazing. There were many fans and I appreciate that." Next week the Koppenbergcross is on the program.
