The last training ride in Mallorca is done. Zdenek will return to Belgium tomorrow to take part in the Zonnebeke cross and the world cup race in Hoogerheide this weekend. “But I'm not sure what to expect there,” he admitted.
“Thanks to the hard training rides I did in Mallorca, I won't be as fresh. My legs will also have to adapt to riding off road as I didn't do that at all the last ten days. So I really don't know what to expect.”
But Styby still wants to put in a good performance. “I hope to play a role in the final. Winning? Sure. That would give me a lot of confidence ahead of the world championships in St. Wendel next week. I've done everything to get my fitness level back up to standard.”
