"A day of suffering"

The riders in the Tour de Suisse have another tough stage behind them. The last, because tomorrow there is a flat stage and on Sunday a final time trail. Styby is not angry. "Because today it was really though."

"I think I had one of the toughest days on my bike", said Zdenek. "The stage was 235 km long with 3.700 altitude. I sat up to six hours and fifteen minutes on the bike."

And Zdenek wasn’t feeling well too. "I had pain in my stomach. From kilometer 0, I felt very bad. I think I ate something bad. Nevertheless, I tried to jump along with an early break, but that only made it worse."

Dries Devenyns, a teammate, had more success and rode the whole stage – who finished in Austria today - in front. The stage victory was for his co-pigeon Thomas De Gendt, who was able to beat Andy Schleck on the final climb. And Styby? He finished in the peloton.

"It was a day of suffering", said our champion, who lost 24 minutes. In the general classification he loses some places and he is now 50th on 40 minutes of leader Damiano Cunego.
