The Tour de Suisse is behind us. A 32 km individual time trial to Schaffhausen yesterday made an end of the tour. "Now I need some days to rest", said our champion.
"My first race at the level of the World Tour is over", he is proud. "The time trial was not easy, but again a good experience. Shame about the problems with my chain, which always fell off on the climb. I lost a lot of time and rhythm."
Styby finished on four minutes of winner of the day Fabian Cancellara, in the final ranking 45th on 41 minutes of Levi Leipheimer. The American dethroned Damiano Cunego in the time trial and the Italian finished eventually on four seconds.
The next appointment for Styby is next Wednesday. "I want to ride a good Czech championship time trial. The road race is a few days later on Sunday."
