Styby has two attempts to win jersey for the Czech road champion. Today he will start in time trial in Sumperk and he will also ride road race on Sunday in Olomouc.
„It is hard to speak about ambitions in time trial. I am not time trial specialist, it will be my fourth tim trial this year including two prologues in Tour of Belgium and Tour de Suiss. I am happy to be on time trial bike again and we will see. It will be for me mainly only one hard training of the week before the Sunday road race,“ said Styby.
Profile of time trial is hard. „44 kilometres during two rounds, but there is 5 kms hill in each of them. So it will be tough race.“
He hopes, that he has better chances on Sunday at the common race of Czech and Slovak cyclists. „Circuit is hard again, so I expect fair race. It should win the best man and there should not be a lot of tactics like in previous years.“
Jersey of Czech champions is very interesting for Quick Step team. „Only Niki Telstra, who won Dutch championship last years, had jersey. I hope, that he will win it again and also Tom Boonen will win championships in Belgium. And me? We will see. It will be nice. Guys told me very often in Tour de Suiss, thate I have to bring back jersey... So I will fight.“
Styby will have some guys to help him on Sunday. „I spoke about corporation with Slovak Peter Sagan, it could help each of us. There are also other guys to help me. For example Dlasky. It is a shame, that my friend Romand Kreuziger will not start, because he is at the Astana team training camp before Tour.“
