Things are going better for our champion. Zdenek injured his knee nearly ten days ago and was forced stay off the bike for a few days and miss the race in Kalmthout. But things seem to be going in the right direction now.
“I trained for an hour and a half yesterday,” Styby said. “I didn’t have any problems with the knee so things are looking good at the moment. This morning I went to Mallorca to do some training with the consent of the Quick Step medical staff. But I’ll be careful.”
If everything goes according to plan, the world champion will start Sunday’s race in Ruddervoorde. “If my knee doesn’t start hurting again,” Zdenek stated. He won the first round of the Superprestige last year. This year it’ll be a lot harder to repeat that performance.
