“It’s like a dream that I can start alongside guys as Tom Boonen and Sylvain Chavanel. I’m really happy about it. I worked very hard to be good in this period to get in the selection and of course not only that. I’ll do my best in what ever possible situation.”
“This is the first time in three years that I’m on the road and I compete in Flemish classics. Only after three races I’m selected in the strongest team for the biggest race. It means a lot to me. I’m very excited about the race and I have the same feeling as when I rode the Worlds in cyclocross.”
“I’m thinking of Hoogerheide, Tabor and St. Wendel. Because of the weather, the atmosphere and the pressure. It’s all the same. I don’t want to say that I go for the same result, but I’m positively stressed and looking forward which always gives me some extra energy. We’ll see!”
