Styby has become 21e in the fifth stage of the Tour of Poland. Which took the riders over different slopes of Nowy Targ to Zakopane over about 160 kilometers. Thor Hushovd was like a few days ago the strongest and won his second stage.
“It went from the start uphill and so it was again a difficult day. It took a while before the breakaway was gone. Michal Golas was in the right group together with 6 guys. In the peloton Colombia and NetApp were chasing all day and it went really, really hard.”
Later the peloton came back and there were a lot of attacks. “I think we had always a man in every group. We rode again as a team and the team spirit is great. I tried to place myself for the sprint, but in the last turn I lost my good position”, said Styby. Tomorrow is another tough ride.
