Styby became fourth in the evening cross in Diegem. Our champion never saw the head of the race after a quick start of Sven Nys, Tom Meeusen and Niels Albert, who went in the attack in the first lap and fought for the win from that moment on.
“I had a bad start and moved up very systematically. When I was in fourth position, the three best were already gone. I knew it was going to be very difficult to close the gap. And after a mistake in the post, I lost again 20 seconds. I focused on the fourth place and I managed it.”
