Wout Poels is the new leader in Tirreno-Adriatico. The Dutchman won the fourth stage by finishing solo. Rigoberto Uran, a teammate of Zdenek at Etixx-Quick Step, was second fourteen seconds behind the winner. Styby finished 70th.

“It was a tough stage with a long climb after 135 kilometers. After that it always going up and down. The finish was after two short climbs and so we pulled the card of Uran. My job was to place him in a good position.”

And then Styby dropped. “I felt directly that today was not my day. And so I didn’t force it and saved some energy. Tomorrow there is a another long stage.”
